09/9/2014 – EKDDA’s new President and Governing Board

Today, Mr. John Chrysoulakis, Professor Emeritus, took office as EKDDA’s President in the presence of the Vice Minister of Administrative Reform and e-Governance (YDMED), Mrs. Evy Christofilopoulou.

For the first time, the new President’s selection was conducted in an objective, fully structured manner that involved the Supreme Council of HR Selection (ASEP) throughout all stages. Simultaneously, EKDDA’s new Governing Board was also appointed.

During her address, Mrs. Christofilopoulou underlined: «EKDDA, one of the most important public institutions of quality and substantial work, is entering a new era in undertaking a strategic role in the effort of modernizing the public sector for a better service to the citizens and the businesses. Continuing its good practice, EKDDA is summoned to further develop its extroversion through international co-operations and to open up towards society by providing its data and educational material. The implementation of the above becomes even more imperative since EKDDA is YDMED’s executive forearm regarding the training, evaluation and management of the PA human resources, as well as the promotion of transparency and meritocracy».

In his speech, Mr. Chrysoulakis emphasized: «As of today, EKDDA is entering a new, modern era, drawing from the best practice of the most advanced PA systems that will be taught to the human resources of the public administration and local government. EKDDA will be the axis of the Hellenic Administrative Reform policy acting as a National Centre of Governance with an intense international presence».
