Vassilis Exarchos is a distinguished economist and has been serving as President of the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA) since 2023. He has many years of experience in positions of high administrative responsibility, having served as Vice President of the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA) during the period 2021–2023.
From 2013 to 2021, he served as President of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences in Athens. He has extensive experience in the financial sector in Greece, having held senior executive positions in Greek banks.
He studied Economics at Northeastern University in Boston (USA). He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration, with specializations in Regional Development, Political Science, and Econometrics. He also holds a CS & Zoologic Learning Solutions diploma from Harvard University, with distinction in specialized banking financial theory and practice, and is currently a PhD candidate in Economic Sciences.
Recently, he was elected Vice President of IASIA (International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration), representing the Greek public administration at an international level.
