Actions Planned (per Target Group)
For the first target group (Ministers and General Directors):
o Brief discussion and exchange of experience proceedings (Political Leaders' Workshops) with Greek politicians and high ranked political and administrative executives who are experienced in the execution of the Council's Presidency.
For the second target group (Presidents, vice Presidents/National Representatives):
o a. Personalized Procedural Approach, that is elaboration of a steps and actions list for the current National Representatives and future Presidents and vice Presidents.
o b. A module seminar organized for the Presidents and vice Presidents/National Representatives ending at a simulation exercise of negotiations by an EU Council's Working Group.
o c. Workshops on basic skills (negotiating techniques, effective communication techniques, team working, presentations technique, quick reading and effective text writing techniques).
For the third target group (Presidency Supporting Groups):
o 2-day seminars of basic training are planned (on legislative system and decision making, on the role of the Presidency and its relevant duties).
For the fourth target group (central Ministries and independent Departments):
o 3-day seminars aiming to train the executives on forming the national positions and coping with ministerial and interministerial coordination. These seminars are expected to function also as workshops for the detecting of the various institutions' training needs.
For the fifth target group (Press and Publicity officers, Interpreters and Logistics officers):
o a. Actions of updating regarding the organization and the function of the EU and
o b. Actions of updating about and diffusing the political priorities of the Cypriot Presidency.
Additional Supportive Actions
Additional supportive actions are going to be planned (diffusion of the political priorities of the Cypriot Presidency, training on the preparation and completion of policy papers, position papers) as well as certain supplementary actions that the CAPA is solely responsible of designing and implementing (e.g. actions on protocol and behavioural conduct issues that concern the team of liaison officers etc).
